The Tamron 28-200 f2.8-5.6 is a budget friendly zoom lens for Sony FE mount cameras. This variable aperture Tamron lens has the potential to be the ultimate all in one lens. I can see this lens as a great travel lens option as you have the ability to shoot wide and telephoto without needing to carry extra lenses. Super zoom lenses aren’t typically known for their great image quality, however this Tamron 28-200mm performs surprisingly well. In my portrait photoshoot, I used this lens on the Sony A7III.

Watch my review video below for 100% crop SOOC images to see the image quality. I also share my autofocus and eye-af performance results. With a portrait shot, I demonstrate the wide focal range this lens has by taking a photo at both 28mm and 200mm. I also take photos at all the main focal lengths including 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 100mm, 135mm, 150mm and 200mm to see the distortion and difference in bokeh.
