Using vintage lenses is a fun way to capture interesting images. For this portrait photoshoot I am using the Sony A7IV with the 7 element Super Takumar 50mm f1.4. To be able to use this lens on my Sony A7IV, I am using an M42 to Sony FE adaptor. This particular Super Takumar is quite yellowed. It caused a mixture of results on the day. On one hand, I do love the warm light in this set of portraits. It suits the location and the soft, golden hour we were working with on the day. On the other hand, the lens flare and yellowing was a little hard to work with in post! I had to take extra time with each image to balance the yellows so Indiarose's skin tone looks as normal as possible.

I enjoyed shooting with the Super Takumar 50mm f1.4 in this condition, but I am going to expose it to UV now to reduce the yellowing. Let me know if you'd like to see another photoshoot once that happens!
