A few snaps from my birthday this weekend. I spent Saturday hanging out with my family making gnocchi and my mum baked me a gorgeous cake and then Sunday adventuring in the Blue Mountains with Dan!
I took all these photos with the Sony A7III + Zeiss 35mm f1.4 and I edited them all with my new Mountains Lightroom Preset.

It was Spring in Australia and roadtrip season was in full swing. Dan and I had spent most of our weeks going on adventures, all of which we documented and you can have a look at on The Adventure Truck blog. One afternoon Dan wanted to go to a forest, so we got dressed for pictures, packed Zeke the truck and headed off on a drive. Little did I know he was going to surprise me and actually take me to this beautiful field of yellow flowers instead. When we arrived, I screamed unable to believe my eyes - fields of flowers are hard to come by in Australia and I've never really had the chance to see one with my own eyes let alone run through them and take photos. I was in heaven.
We spent the rest of the afternoon running through the fields, taking pictures and collapsing in the grass with our eyes up in the sky gazing at the stars once the sun set. It was a magical afternoon and one I hope we can re experience this Spring again!
Many moons ago, Dan and I traveled to a barely touched land in NSW's coast where kangaroos are a normal, every day sighting. We stayed in a beautiful home where we had one day of work but a couple of days for ourselves too. We woke up at sunrise to take pictures every morning, watching the kangaroos grazing in the grass. One afternoon we decided we didn't have enough photos of ourselves together so we set off to capture just that.
I don't know why I never ended up sharing this blog post, but right now seems to be the perfect time in between me travelling for work for three months now and missing Dan every day that I'm away.

After spending the majority of my year overseas, the first thing I wanted to do when I got back to Australia was to experience sunset in one of my favourite places. I love the way the beach seems endless here, the water washes so far up to shore it creates a mirror on the sand for the sun and clouds to reflect themselves in it. This place never fails to make me feel happy. Warm and free on the first day of summer.
