In this photography tutorial, I share my favourite portrait composition tips to capture better looking portraits. I chose an urban location for this photoshoot, since having a distracting background with lines, different colours and textures is helpful to see the before & afters of my composition tips.
The GM 35mm f1.4 is a small and sharp prime lens when paired with the Sony A7III. This 35mm f1.4 focuses with ease in strong backlight situations with both eye AF and subject tracking. I decided to do a fun portrait photography photoshoot with 2 M42 vintage lenses including the Super-Takumar 55mm f2 and Super-Takumar 35mm f3.5.
The Sigma 35mm f1.2 is the worlds first autofocus 35mm f1.2 lens for Sony E-mount full frame cameras. I will be using it for portrait photography on the Sony A7III at a wide open aperture of f1.2 in natural light.
